JEE Mains results declared; Students upset over the NTA selection processThe National Testing Agency has announced the results of the Joint Entrance Exam held in April 2019. The results are available on the official portal of the JEE mains -- jeemain.nic. Students are however in shock after the declaration of the results as the qualifying percentile for this year’s exam is 89. Last year the qualifying percentile was 74. "The qualifying percentile for JEE Advanced is 89. Earlier, average qualifying percentile was 74, therefore students were not expecting it to go above 80, " says Alia Mirza, an aspirant who qualified JEE Mains. Those who have cleared the JEE Mains can now fill the form for the JEE Advanced between May 3 and May 9, 2019. After the declaration of the results of the JEE Advanced, students would head for the counseling from various institutes. Students are upset with the results as with the increase in the qualifying percentile the overall ranks have been dipped. Some of the tweets from the angry students are below: Students are upset because under the CBSE students had to appear only for single mains exam but under the NTA students appeared for the two mains exam. First JEE Mains was held in January and the second edition was held in April. "This year there were two different exams in multiple sitting. Also, the difficulty level varied from exam-to-exam," Mirza says. via Education and Job Portal https://www.brainbuxa.com/education-news/jee-mains-results-declared-students-upset-over-the-nta-selection-process-9365

CSIR NET exam is held for determining the eligibility of the candidate for lectureship and awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in science streams. According to the Fraternity, the number of aspirants from Kerala are increasing and Malabar region stands out as it covers more than 50% of Kerala's total population and has universities with the highest number of students intake. "In the present scenario, candidates from Malabar region face extreme hardship relying on centers in Cochin and Trivandrum allocated in Kerala, though there is a sizable number of candidates from Malabar compared to other parts of Kerala," an online petition filed by the organisation says. "Geographically and historically, the Malabar region in Kerala has been neglected in various fronts, including education and its delivery. For CSIR NET exam, both the centres have been allocated in South Kerala and thousands of students from the Northern Kerala are compelled to travel for the exams to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram," says Fraternity district president Raheem K. "This is a case of complete regional in-balance and it continues. We demand that the CSIR must allocate a centre in Kozhikode for the next edition of the exam," he added. "Currently, Kozhikode, which has emerged as a technological hub, has all the facilities and educational institutions to host all the major competitive exams," he said. Of the total 27 centers, CSIR allocated two centers in Kerala, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. via Education and Job Portal https://www.brainbuxa.com/education-news/student-body-demands-to-provide-exam-center-for-the-csir-net-exam-at-kozhikode-9357 UP Board 2019 results declared: Students can use three options to check the resultsUP Board 2019 results have been declared and n order to facilitate the students the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has provided several ways using which students can check their results.
