Tamanna' Aptitude Test For School Students developed by CBSE and NCERT'Tamanna' aptitude test which stands for Try And Measure Aptitude And Natural Abilities has been developed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. The aptitude test has been developed for the students of classes 9 and 10 to test their aptitude. The test has been developed under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India and the pilot run of the same was done by the CBSE with 17,000 students studying in classes 9 and 10 in its various affiliated schools.MHRD said “Students, teachers and parents must keep in mind that the aptitude test provides information related to the strengths of students and there is no pass or fail in this test”. “The test should be taken voluntarily by interested students and must not be used to impose any subject, courses of study or vocations etc. on the students,” the ministry added further. "Each student is unique and differs from another. Students vary in terms of their physical characteristics such as height, weight, strength as well as in their psychological attributes like intelligence, aptitude, interest, and personality," HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' said in a document accompanying the module. "While, one may be outspoken another may be submissive, some may be creative and flexible while others may be precise and specific, some may excel in expressing their views while some others may do well in reasoning with numbers. It is these variations which makes each student unique and sets the base for their behavioral differences in different situations," he added. 'Tamanna' aptitude test consists of the following sub-tests: Language Aptitude (LA)Abstract Reasoning (AR)Verbal Reasoning (VR)Mechanical Reasoning (MR)Numerical Aptitude (NA)Spatial Aptitude (SA)Perceptual Aptitude (PA) via Education and Job Portal https://www.brainbuxa.com/education-news/tamanna-aptitude-test-for-school-students-developed-by-cbse-and-ncert-9867

The Council is responsible for regulating more than 10,000 engineering colleges and management institutions and said that sharing of faculty across institutions hampers the quality of education. "It has come to the notice of the council that some institutes offering programs /courses in Technical Educations after the receipt of Extension of Approval (E0A) from the Council is indulging in the practice of sharing of faculty members amongst institutes under the same parent organization / outside," the circular said. "The sharing of faculty at two places/location simultaneously is not permitted. This hampers the quality of technical education and also breach of the affidavit submitted to AICTE while approving/Extension of Approval," it added."This practice is viewed very seriously by the Council. The Council shall initiate an inquiry on any such complaint/information, received on the subject mentioned above and if found correct, shall initiate strong disciplinary action against the institute indulging in such practice, including withdrawal of Approval," the circular said. via Education and Job Portal https://www.brainbuxa.com/education-news/aicte-to-take-action-against-the-institutions-for-sharing-faculty-members-9863 National Education Policy dilutes the provision of RTE up to class 12The HRD Ministry has tweaked the National Education Policy and diluted the provision of extending RTE (Right to Education) up to class 12. The final document states that the RTE Act will be considered for extension. The final NEP has also tweaked the suggestion on starting a National Tutors Programme (NTP) and Remedial Instructional Aides Programme (RIAP). Both programs were meant to improve the basic math and reading skills of the students. Under RIAP it was suggested to rope in best performers from each school for five hours a week as a tutor. As a tutor they will help fellow students who need help. The project was supposed to run on a pilot basis for 10 years. Final NEP has endorsed only one-to-one peer tutoring. “Peer tutoring can be taken up as a voluntary and joyful activity for fellow students under the supervision of trained teachers and by taking due care of safety aspects… it will be made far easier for trained volunteers — from both the local community and beyond — to participate in this large-scale mission of the schooling system,” the final NEP states. The draft has also proposed a new three-tier institutional system under which by 2030 all the institutions will either be categorized as research universities or teaching universities or colleges running undergraduate programs. via Education and Job Portal https://www.brainbuxa.com/education-news/national-education-policy-dilutes-the-provision-of-rte-up-to-class-12-9864 Supplementary exam registration window for NIOS D.El.Ed. The researchers are also planning to establish a startup ‘AISoft’ for their AI software.Through the startup, researchers are aiming to solve problems from various fields of engineering such as thermal management, semiconductors, automobile, aerospace and electronics cooling applications. Most of the modern-day uses of AI are in the fields of signal processing, speech recognition, image reconstruction and prediction. Globally, very few attempts have been made to use AI in solving engineering problems such as thermal management, electronic cooling industries, automobile problems like fluid dynamics prediction over a bonnet or inside the engine, aerospace industries like aerodynamics and fluid dynamics problems across an aero-foil or turbine engine.A team of researchers at IIT Madras has developed algorithms based on AI and Deep Learning which do not solve the laws of Physics instead they use a data-driven approach to arrive at the solution of a system.Highlighting the unique aspects of these algorithms, Dr. Vishal Nandigana said, "We tested AIsoft and used it to solve such thermal management problems. We found it to be nearly million-fold faster compared to existing solutions currently used in the field. Our AI works on any generalized rectilinear and curvilinear input geometry. Our research saves the computational time, which is the bottleneck to solve most engineering problems."Further, Dr. Vishal Nandigana said, "We are using a novel Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) and Deep Neural Network (DNN) to solve engineering problems. Our AI is a grid or mesh independent and does not need the information of left and right grid points to solve the grid point of interest. Our AI can work with sparse data sets and solve engineering problems. Our AI stands out in this aspect from commercially available software." via Education and Job Portal https://www.brainbuxa.com/education-news/researchers-at-iit-madras-developed-ai-solution-for-engineering-problem-9861 Admit cards for the NTA NET exam to be released soonNational Testing Agency or NTA is expected to release the admit cards for the NTA NET exam which is scheduled in the first week of December in the coming two-weeks time.
